As if the upcoming patch 2.3 isn't already good enough with the coming of Zul'aman, the season 3 arena, various class changes and the interesting change to Alterac Valley, there's actually another nice change coming. Blizzard is going to make it easier for people with lower level characters to level to 70. Say hello to the leveling improvements that are going to be implemented in patch 2.3.
Reduced experience needed between levels by about 15% between levels 20 to 60. When the patch is released players between 20 and 60 will remain at their current level percentage but will require less experience to hit the next level.Experience gained by finishing quests between (around) 30 and 60 is being increased. Increase becomes more substantial as you make your way to 60Many outdoor elite mobs will be tuned down to normal mobs to make difficult quests easier to do while giving the same or better rewards! There will be a new goblin town (Steamwheedle Cartel) in south west Dustwallow Marsh called Mudsprocket. To help fill the lack of quests between levels 30 and 40, there will be 60 new quests in Dustwallow Marsh.Level range of most pre-BC dungeons will be tweaked so that the level range of the mobs at the start and at the end of the dungeon will be much smaller. For example, SFK is currently an 18-25 dungeon. In patch 2.3, it will be an 18-21 making easier for the lower level players to conquer the deeper parts of the dungeon and it won't make players who are around 21 and above to feel that the dungeon content is too trivial. Editor's note: Of course, this doesn't make much difference if you get a level 70 to run you through since such content will really be trivial. heheIncreased experience for dungeon questsAll pre-BC dungeon boss drops will be blue quality items. It's a pain to level through the old content without help these days. And things really start getting interesting by level 58 when your character can enter the dark portal and enter the outlands. So these changes will really help your character enter the outlands faster. That's why these changes will be a very welcome. With the next expansion bumping the level cap to 80, imagine trying to start a character from scratch. You'll be glad these leveling improvements are here!
