Ground Mounts Will Be Usable In Water

Blizzcon 08 is over and it seems like there really wasn't anything explosive that was revealed as far as World of Warcraft is concerned. Sure a few things were given more clarity and a few issues made known to the devs so they could work on it but there was nothing that made you go "WOW!" (pun intended)

But if there was one thing probably qualifies as a new and cool announcement, it's probably the one about ground mounts being usable in water. This means that when you hit the drink with your ground mount, you'll actually stay mounted. Don't you hate it when you're in places like Un'goro Crater or Nagrand that have narrow bodies of water that separate pieces of land just a few steps apart. Getting to the other side of these pieces of land are annoying because the water is deep enough to dismount you so you'll have to mount up again on the other side. This change that will be patched in after the release of Wrath of the Lich King solves this annoyance.

How, you may ask, will your kodo or nightsaber survive under water without breathing? Well just ask hunters how their pets do it. Though this really brings back the funny thought of having to buy a new mount just because your old one died...

Last Raid Before The Holidays?

It will be Christmas Day in just a matter of days so some of you guys might take a break from WoW for the holidays. In fact, some of you probably already have! The Christmas holidays can thin out many guild rosters across many servers so much so that there could be so few online to make a raid possible. I found it a bit funny that my guild master posted the following message on our website a few days ago, reflecting the problem I just mentioned.

preholiday-raid-message.JPG

If it's not too late already, I suggest that your guild should schedule something fun before you break up for the holidays. Do raids or guild dungeons runs or even guild pvp. Whatever it is, do it together. Make use of the time you have left together since you'll never know what will happen once the holidays begin. I know last year, it was around this time that my old guild started losing members to the holiday and many never returned until much later since they decided to take the opportunity to take an extended vacation from the game. Ok so that probably might just be my experience but the point is, have fun together!

Pre-WoTLK Content Patch Announced

All this talk about the WoTLK beta has me really really excited for the real thing to come out. I'm even leveling a druid to 70 right now because I think the new balance and restoration talents are interesting. It's also my insurance to have another healer toon just in case my fears about holy pallies being underwhelming for the expansion are realized. I definitely agree that the suckiest part about all this beta testing is that I'm not in it to experience the fun new stuff. Of course I also read somewhere that being in the beta isn't all that it's cracked up to be since the server is down often, abilities don't work as intended and stuff like that. but at least the beta testers get to see the new content and have an idea on how the new abilities work.

The good news is that CM Eyonix announced that there will be a pre-WoTLK content patch coming soon similar to the one that was released before the Burning Crusade expansion was released. So we'll be able to experience some of the stuff the beta testers are experiencing right now, especially the new talent trees.

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.

We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:

New class spells and talents

Stormwind Harbor

Barbershops in capital cities

Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades

Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles

Guild calendar

Hunter pet skill revamp

New profession: Inscription

As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

It's definitely nice that we'll be able to learn inscription already even before the expansion comes out. Players weren't given access to Jewelcrafting until after Burning Crusade came out. Being able to pick up Inscription will give players a head start and even possibly take it to 375, ready to go to the next level once WoTLK comes out. And in case you were wondering about the zeppelin towers outside Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades since those already exist, Eyonix mentioned there will be new ones that will eventually take players to Northrend.

Bliz Wants Feedback About Your Class

blood-elf-paladin-fan-art.jpg

In preparation for Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard wants to hear from us about changes we feel are most needed about the class (ess) we play. We better take advantage of this opportunity to be heard while they're listening!

We're currently gathering class feedback from players for Wrath of the Lich King concerning thoughts on the areas of each class that is perceived to be most in need of improvement. This thread is not intended for discussion purposes and we ask that you please review the below format before presenting your feedback. It's very important for us to be able to review all provided feedback and as a result, not following the required format will very likely result in your post being removed.

• List your primary talent tree(s), i.e. Holy/Disc.

• List the content you're primarily pursuing or most enjoy, i.e. Raiding, PvP, Solo, etc...

• Provide a brief description of the areas you feel are most in need of improvement (you may list a maximum of three issues and each issue should be described in one or two sentences).

• List up to five specific spells/abilities/talents you feel most need change, redesign or improvement in the order you feel each is most in need of attention. (MOST to LESS)

Please remember to be constructive when providing feedback, and avoid discussions with others so that this thread can remain a promising and reliable source for feedback. It's also important to note that we're not looking for suggestions on how aspects of your class can be improved, but rather which areas are in need of improvement by your own assessment. When we have collected enough feedback we will reply back to this thread thanking everyone for their assistance, and the thread will be locked.

New Additions To Feast Of The Winter Veil

nethermancer-xmas-outfit.jpg

The Feast of the Winter Veil is almost here (it's coming out December 15) and just like this year's Hallow's End festival, there will be some new additions coming to keep us players more interested and involved in celebrating! In this year's Hallow's End festival, we saw the attacks of the Headless Horseman on various low level towns. Of course, we also saw the Headless Horseman encounter in the Scarlet Monastery graveyard for level 70 players and the nice loot he dropped for us all.

This year's Feast of the Winter Veil festival will bring back some of the cool Winter Veil goodies from the past and turned them into things the level 70's can enjoy!

- The Preserved Holly that players can get from completing special holiday quests can now be used on flying mounts. This will temporarily turn their flying mount into a flying reindeer that trails sparkles as it flies through the air

- Handful of Snowflakes – this is a new item you can obtain by /kiss –ing a Winter Reveler NPC. It will create a light snowfall above any targeted player.

- Burning Crusade Holiday Bosses – as in past years, certain bosses will be dressed in a festive fashion and will drop seasonal hats when defeated. The holiday versions of the bosses will begin on Dec. 25 and end on Jan. 2. These bosses include:

• Grand Warlock Netherkurse (Shattered Halls)

• Grandmaster Vorpil (Shadow Labyrinth)

• Exarch Maladaar (Auchenai Crypts)

• Captain Skarloc (Durnholde Keep)

• Nethermancer Sepethrea (Mechanar)

• High Botanists Freywinn (Botanica)

- Mechanotoy – This is a new gift that can be obtained from under the Winter Veil tree in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. It lets you summon a Mechanotoy non-combat pet (pic1 - pic2) to follow you around. Source

After getting that cool epic quality ring from the Headless Horseman during the Hallow's End festival, it's a bit disappointing that none of the bosses above will drop cool gear. But I guess that's asking too much especially since new gear was already added to the game when Zul'aman came out and Season 3 started.

WoW Performance Boost Tip

wmp.jpg

The guys at World Of Raids shared a pretty cool tip they found about boosting the game performance of WoW. While I still haven't had the chance to check this tip out since I'm still out of the game, it's still worth sharing to you all.

Since 2.3 came out, many players noticed a major FPS degradation; a russian player "Raze" made a nice find and posted it on WoW Europe Forums, he found ount [sic] that you can significantly boost World of Warcraft performance by simply opening Windows Media Player before starting up WoW.

Short non-technical explanation: Your computer usually reserves a certain % of the CPU for background applications. Having WMP opened changes this behavior and allocates all available CPU to WoW. Little to no CPU time will be given to background applications and services, therefore increasing WoW performance.

It worked for us, but according to that thread, its not working for everyone.

Opening Wimdows Media Player eh? That's simple enough to do. I really have to try this out when I get back to playing. I hope you guys will tell me if it works for you.

Have Some Drunken Fun At Brewfest!

brewfest-custom.jpg

The most recent patch gave the players another festival to enjoy called the Brewfest. For some reason, it didn't start right when the patch was released but many hours later! But anyway it's here so it's time for all of us to have some drunken fun with our WoW characters.

Obviously Brewfest is World of Warcraft's take on the Octoberfest just like Hallow's Eve is the game's Halloween and the Feast of the Winterveil is Christmas. I only checked it out for a while and I only did a few quests so far but the having this festival in the game is a really cool and fun idea!

I liked the first ram racing quest where you learn to ride the ram. I kept hearing shouts asking how to make it go faster and everyone says "spank it like mad!". How true. I also liked catching those rabbit creatures since you need to be really drunk to see them. The barking quests are a bit annoying because there's a time limit and sometimes the ram you use goes so slow. In fact I did it earlier and I failed the quest even if I completed all the barking because I didn't get back on time.

All in all, it's just a nice event to socialize with other people in your faction in the server you play in. Also it's a nice excuse to get totally smashed in game.

Leveling Improvements For Patch 2.3

leveling.jpg

As if the upcoming patch 2.3 isn't already good enough with the coming of Zul'aman, the season 3 arena, various class changes and the interesting change to Alterac Valley, there's actually another nice change coming. Blizzard is going to make it easier for people with lower level characters to level to 70. Say hello to the leveling improvements that are going to be implemented in patch 2.3.

  • Reduced experience needed between levels by about 15% between levels 20 to 60. When the patch is released players between 20 and 60 will remain at their current level percentage but will require less experience to hit the next level.

  • Experience gained by finishing quests between (around) 30 and 60 is being increased. Increase becomes more substantial as you make your way to 60

  • Many outdoor elite mobs will be tuned down to normal mobs to make difficult quests easier to do while giving the same or better rewards!

  • There will be a new goblin town (Steamwheedle Cartel) in south west Dustwallow Marsh called Mudsprocket. To help fill the lack of quests between levels 30 and 40, there will be 60 new quests in Dustwallow Marsh.

  • Level range of most pre-BC dungeons will be tweaked so that the level range of the mobs at the start and at the end of the dungeon will be much smaller. For example, SFK is currently an 18-25 dungeon. In patch 2.3, it will be an 18-21 making easier for the lower level players to conquer the deeper parts of the dungeon and it won't make players who are around 21 and above to feel that the dungeon content is too trivial. Editor's note: Of course, this doesn't make much difference if you get a level 70 to run you through since such content will really be trivial. hehe

  • Increased experience for dungeon quests

  • All pre-BC dungeon boss drops will be blue quality items. To see some examples of the upgrades, click here.

It's a pain to level through the old content without help these days. And things really start getting interesting by level 58 when your character can enter the dark portal and enter the outlands. So these changes will really help your character enter the outlands faster. That's why these changes will be a very welcome. With the next expansion bumping the level cap to 80, imagine trying to start a character from scratch. You'll be glad these leveling improvements are here!

  • Alliance To Get New Flight Path In Stranglethorn Vale

    rebel-camp.jpg

A few months ago I decided to "quit" the Alliance and focus on playing my characters on the horde side. It's just that I started out as horde and that's where my friends are. Because I never really had an Alliance character past level 25, I never really noticed that was no flight path in northern Stranglethorn Vale for you Alliance folk. Well patch 2.3 will solve that problem!

We're adding a new flight path to Rebel Camp in northern Stranglethorn Vale. It's coming in patch 2.3.

Eyonix, Blizzard poster. WoW Community Site

I think it's quite fair that the Alliance will get this since the Horde gets a flight path in Grom'gol Base Camp. Entering STV from Duskwood is a wee bit far on foot. All this time I assumed that there was a flight path in that Rebel Camp...

WoW Atlas Available On WoW Website

    atlas.jpg

Have you ever wanted some basic information about the game like where to go to train for the next level of your chosen profession? Or have you even wondered where you can repair in a certain area or buy ammo for your hunter? These are things that every new player would want to know (or at least a player new to that specific scenario) and many times you could find yourself waiting for the answer to a question with no success.

You're in luck! Anytime you find yourself in such a situation just go visit the Atlas at the World of Warcraft website. I really recommend it for newbies trying to learn more about the game. Hopefully this will help reduce the number of newb questions being asked in chat. If anything this Atlas will be a response for those people asking newb questions in chat =)

    More Badges For Joo!

    badge-of-justice.jpg

Some guilds only seem to do heroic difficulty dungeons just for the badges of justice and nothing else. This seemed to be the case of the guild I left a few months ago. They are currently one of the top guilds in my server on the horde side and they do mostly Tempest Keep and Serpent Shrine Cavern. Doing heroic difficulty dungeons won't exactly give them (at least most of them) better gear.

Some guilds like the one I currently am in are just about to get into Karazhan and others are working their way towards clearing it. I'm excited for my guild because I've waited a long time for them to get to 70 and get keyed. It will be a fun yet also painful learning process for most of us but the important thing is that we're doing it together.

Whether you belong to a guild like mine or the one I currently left the latest news about badges of justice will benefit both.

Badges of Justice will drop off bosses in Karazhan and Zul'Aman, I believe 1-2 for each player per boss, but it could still vary a bit since patch 2.3 is still on the PTR.

There will also be a daily heroic dungeon quest, completing this will provide you with (currently) 2 additional badges if you complete it.

Bornakk, Blizzard Poster. WoW Community Site

Considering that there are also new and better items coming that you can buy with your badges of justice, this piece of news is all the more exciting.

    WTS Name Change For $10

    name-change-custom.jpg

I remember running the Arcatraz with a Tauren druid named Treecow a while back.I told him that it's a good thing he was really a tree cow (restoration druid) or else he would have failed at fulfilling his namesake. But what if Treecow wanted to respec to feral or balance? He's pretty much stuck with his name right? He and other players in the same type of situation might be stuck living a name that doesn't fit them anymore. Well, the latest announcement by Blizzard at the WoW Website says not anymore! Finally paid name changes are here!

We’re happy to announce that through the wonders of modern gnomish engineering, you are now able to change your characters’ names. Finally, you can turn the moniker that seemed like a good idea at the time into something more befitting your true standing in World of Warcraft.

Visit Account Management to begin the paid character-name-change process. The fee is $10 per name change.

Bornakk, Blizzard Poster. WoW Community Site

This feature is especially helpful for those people who named themselves something silly like Legalaz or Chuknorriz and want to change it into something more heroic sounding. Unfortunately, this feature isn't available to all realms just yet. Just like when the voice chat feature came out, Blizzard will be rolling out this feature across the realms in many phases. To find out which realms are included in the first phase click here.

Chinese Guild Downs Illidan 52 Days After TBC Release

    china-illidan-first-kill.jpg

Lately I've been getting excited that my small guild will finally get some action in Karazhan very soon after a long time waiting for the others to hit 70 and get keyed and geared well enough to raid the place. But after reading the following piece of news, I felt a bit sorry for the state of my guild's state of progress. But after a while I felt a bit better knowing that we have a life and we're having a lot of fun playing the game at our pace.

Worldofraids.com reports that that a Chinese guild called "The Seven" managed to pull off China's first confirmed Illidan kill. Grats to them right? I'd like to say yes, but I'm really more inclined to feel sorry for them for not having a life. The reason is they did this in 52 days... starting from level 60! Yes, the Burning Crusade expansion was released in China on September 6, 2007. Considering Illidan is the last boss in the hardest dungeon in the game as of the moment, they had to get to 70 and get geared well enough for the encounter by going through the process of clearing Karazhan, Gruul's lair, Mag's Lair, TK, and SSC. Personally I don't know how it's even possible to do that in 52 days. The only way I know is to play themselves to death.

I have two words for "The Seven": You Lose!

    Seriously guys, get a life!

Guild Leaders Can Ninja The Guild Bank! 0.o

    askaninja.jpg

Patch 2.3 will also see the advent of guild banks. Gone are the days of creating guild bank characters as a necessity. The Guild leader will be able to give his/her members access to the bank to deposit and withdraw items and even money. I asked a question in the WoW forums a few days ago about what happens to the guild bank's items/money if the guild disbands. I didn't get much of a reply but finally Hortus, the Blizzard poster gives us the answer in another thread.

If the guild is disbanded the current guild leader gets all the items in the bank via his mailbox.

Well actually this isn't any different with the current situation. Since current guild banks are characters of the guild leader or at least an officer of the guild, if the guild disbands all the loot goes to one person anyway. But I was expecting that since guild banks will be an actual bank, perhaps a little more controls could be in place. I was hoping that measures could be placed to prevent the guild leader from running off with the guild's stuff by simply disbanding. This might not be that big a problem for those really big and established guilds since they probably won't just disband unless really necessary. Smaller guilds that tend to form and disband really quickly are possible targets of such abuse.

    More Space For Phat Lewts?

    netherweave-bag.jpg

Dearleader from the Boulderfist server writes about a topic that hits close to hoe in th WoW forums. Like him, I'm also sentimental about my WoW stuff. I like keeping certain things that mean a lot to me. In fact I still have the three pieces of T1 gear I used to wear before TBC came out. Yes, I still have my Arcanist crown, belt and boots and also my Robe of the Archmage. Wouldn't it be cool to have more space to store these stuff? But this isn't just a matter of storing your old stuff that you can't get rid off. It's about storing more of any kind of stuff.

In the same thread, Bornakk the Blizzard poster gave us some hope about this matter.

There is a possibility of adding more space to characters in the future, but we have not finalized any decisions on this. I keep the items that mean the most to me on my characters, but I definitely don’t keep everything as there comes a time to move on.

Also with the implementation of Guild Banks in patch 2.3, this should help free up some space regarding the non-soulbound items.

It's good to hear that we might get more space in the future. I'll be able to carry more while farming for primals or anything really. But the real reason why my bags are always full is all the stacks of cloth I carry in my bags and in my bank. I counted something like 40 stacks of netherweave cloth or even more last time I checked. Hehe

Heroic Mechanar and Cache Of The Legion Update

    cache-of-the-legion.jpg

We talked about Karazhan and Zul'aman dropping badges of justice when patch 2.3 comes out. That's really great news! But let's go back and talk about the current source of the badges - heroics. Actually, I just want to talk about only one heroic dungeon, the Mechanar. It's pretty much the most popular heroic dungeon because it's pretty easy compared to the others. Right now, even if you skip the Nethermancer because she and her elementals are a bitch, you can still get 4 badges of justice. That will change in patch 2.3 according to one of the updates to the 2.3 PTR patch notes.

The Mechanar: The Cache of the Legion can now only be looted by players who are present during some portion of a successful attempt of the Gatewatcher Gyro-Kill and Gatewatcher Iron-Hand encounters. In addition, on Heroic difficulty Gatewatcher Gyro-Kill and Gatewatcher Iron-Hand no longer drop Badges of Justice. Instead, the Cache of the Legion contains a Badge of Justice for each player present.

Instead of getting one badge each from both Gatewatchers, you'll get only a total of from from the cache of the legion. That drops the total number of badges you can get from doing Heroic Mechanar by one. That could mean the difference of having exactly enough badges for what you want to buy or being one short. That should totally suck! Now it might not be too much of a big deal but I'm sure you agree with me that it does indeed suck.

    Armory Update: Guild Bank Viewing

    armory-guild-bank.jpg

The Armory has come a long way now since it was first introduced. Even back then, the idea of WoW having its own database was really cool. The addition of arena calculator a few months ago made it even more than a database but also a place players could visit to manage their arena points needs. The new update to the armory is a login protected feature concerning the guild bank, its contents and logs, together with a better system for filtering searches concerning the guild roster.

Back when I was still in another guild quite a long time ago, our guild master created a link in our guild website that showed the contents of the guild bank character using some web service I'm not entirely familiar with. It was updated as often as possible and basically we had to post in our forums for requests to get something from the bank. The nice thing about that link our guild master made was that, though not always accurate, was viewable while outside the game (well there was no way to view the contents inside the game hehe).

The new armory update to guild banks lends the same kind of convenience to the players as that link my guild master used to have. What a convenience it is to be able to view the guild bank's contents without logging in the game. This is what the armory site is all about. It allows players access to some game information without having to log in. Thanks to the armory site, we don't need to log in to see our talent specs, our gear, our profession stats and now the contents of the guild bank.

    WotLK Interview With Jeffrey Kaplan

    wotlk.jpg

Even with the new updates with the recently released patch 2.3 to keep us busy, I'm sure all of us want to know more about the coming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Hopefully the following interview would do exactly that.Warcry.com shares with us WoW fans an interview they did with Blizzard lead designer Jeffrey Kaplan about the next expansion.

WarCry: Burning Crusade released with a significantly larger number of 25-player dungeons than vanilla World of Warcraft did, and players have plowed through the available content at a much quicker pace than before. Was this intended and/or will the pacing of content be changed with Wrath of the Lich King?

Jeffrey Kaplan: Burning Crusade definitely shipped with more raid content than the original World of Warcraft. This is largely due to the maturity of the game and the sheer numbers of players engaging in end-game content in some shape or form. We're actually pretty happy with the pace at which people are making progress; if anything, we'd like to see more people experiencing the end-game PvE content.

For Wrath of the Lich King, we're discussing ways to foster a healthy sense of competition among guilds on the forefront of raid progression while still allowing this content to become more accessible to others over time. I think we have a lot of innovative ideas and we'll keep trying to improve the system.

WarCry: The death knight is being billed as a tank/dps (damage per second) hybrid. How do you see them fitting into raids alongside protection warriors, feral druids, and protection paladins?

Jeffrey Kaplan: We made some really good strides in The Burning Crusade to improve the feral druid as a hybrid tank/dps class. That will be the general direction we'll be looking to go with the death knight. Obviously, the protection warrior is in a good place in terms of dungeon and raid tanking. And the protection paladin is hands-down the best multi-target tank. Of course, there's always room for improvement, but you can see the general direction the tanking classes are headed. While all of these classes are capable of fulfilling similar roles, they offer very different abilities and playstyles.

WarCry: In late vanilla World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade there has been a heavy emphasis on reputation grinding and rewards, which has proven to be a great incentive for more casual players. Is this trend going to continue with Wrath of the Lich King? Any lessons you've learned about such a system from Burning Crusade?

Jeffrey Kaplan: Reputation is a great progression system for all types of players ranging from casual to hardcore. We're not necessarily looking to make reputation a grind; our goal is to identify who the target audience is for each reputation and then tune things accordingly. One thing we'll be doing more of in Wrath of the Lich King (and even before that) is incorporating daily quests into reputations. We feel that if a reputation has significant daily quests with enough variety and perhaps some random elements, it will help keep the process of accumulating reputation fresh and interesting.

    image

WarCry: Any plans for introductory events leading up to Wrath of the Lich King similar to what happened in Blasted Lands prior to Burning Crusade's release?

Jeffrey Kaplan: We have some really cool ideas but it's too early to comment right now.

WarCry: Much of the Horde experience in Outland revolved around the history of the orcs and the Mag'har tribe. What races can we expect to find tied to the lands of Northrend?

Jeffrey Kaplan: Northrend has some great story development in it. Humans, dwarves, tauren, and trolls will all have their storylines developed further. Of course, all of the other races will share the spotlight as well, but those four have an especially strong presence throughout the icy continent.

PTR Patch 2.3.2 Notes Surface - Iceblock Trainable and Others

    iceblock.jpg

The great patch 2.3 has been out for quite a while already so people have been talking about how great patch 2.4 could be. 2.4 will introduce the Sunwell Plateau, which will have a new 5 man dungeon and a 25 man raid dungeon harder in progression than the Black Temple. But before we look that far ahead, the latest news that hit the WoW community reminded us of patch 2.3's great reputation - especially for mages!

MMO Champion gives us an image of the PTR patch notes for patch 2.3.2, a small patch with nice changes for most classes - especially mages! Here are some of the more interesting patch notes entries:

/timetest is a command that can be run to provide information on game performance. /timetest 0 turns the command off. When the command is issued, the next time a player uses a flight master to travel, certain statistics will be measured and displayed at the end of that flight. All weather effects and spawns are shutdown during the test.

"Withdraw - repair only" button for guild banks. Editors note: this is useful for guilds that want more controls over who can access the guild bank's gold. For guild masters and officers who still want to all members to be able to use the guild's resources to repair but not for anything else, this is for you!

Hunters: Freezing Trap is no longer limited to one target at a time and pet leveling speed has been increased.

Shaman: Water Shield now restores mana periodically regardless of how many charges remain. Duration increased to 10 minutes.

Mages: Iceblock trainable at level 30. Coldsnap will move to iceblock's position. A new talented spell called Icy Veins was added to the frost tree. Icy veins will decreases casting time of all spells by 20% and increases the chance your chilling effects will freeze the target by 25%. Lasts 20 sec. 3 min cooldown. It is now in the Cold Snap position in the talent tree.

To see the all the entries for the PTR patch 2.3.2 notes, click here.

As a frost mage, I'm definitely going to get Icy Veins. Even if the skill didn't have the part about increasing the chance for chilling effects to freeze the target, I'd still get it for the decreased casting time. It would be nice to have a berserk like skill without being a troll.

    It's Season 3 Time!

It's November 27 so you know what that means!

That's right! It's time for Season 3 for our beloved arena pvp. When the servers come back up from the scheduled maintenance, we'll be able to the new season's rewards of gear and weapons or at least those of s1 with honor points and s2 at cheaper arena points costs.

Since the start of season 3 is another one of those highly anticipated events like patch 2.3, it's sure that the s3 rewards vendor in area 52 will be swamped. To help alleviate this problem, s3 reward vendors will be available in gadgetzan, the nagrand arena and the blade's edge arena as well.

Enjoy getting your new arena gear and have a nice day!
