I have Vista 32 and an X-Fi sound card. All I can seem to get is 2 speaker out put in game. If I run WAR in xp sp2 compatibility mode and use Alchemy, I can select EAX in the options and then get 5.1 sound. But the sound quality is horrible, which is why I assume Mythic disabled it for Vista users.
I am not trying to get EAX effects, just 5.1 sound. Anybody with Vista 32 and using on board sound getting 5.1 OK? Or anyone able to get 5.1 on Vista 32 using a Creative X-Fi card? (I have Xtreme Music one, still better than on board sound IMO.) This is the only game so far that I am unable to get 5.1.
